About Me
Hello and welcome to my portfolio web site.
I am Steve Durr and I hail from Worksop in North Notts. I am a web developer / wanna be designer and work as a lead php developer for Niddocks Internet Solutions in Nottingham's NG2 Business Park. In 2008 I completed my BSc Honours in Computing at Sheffield Hallam University and it was whilst at university I began learning html and css techniques along with some basic php. During my second year my personal circumstances changed and I was thrust in to a freelance role and down the php development route. My first major project was for a canvas printing company owned by a friend. I was asked to set up a dedicated linux server and get his site running on it. The server was unmanaged and gave me some valuable insights in to linux.
On leaving university I was again asked by the company to get involved with their website. The wanted a redevelopment of the original site and integrating with their current back office administration.

I love learning new things and am always looking to enhance my skill set. I am keen on jQuery and Flash, my role at work is giving me the opportunity to develop both skills.
